It says here that Queen Elizabeth II's coronation in 1953 was the first to be televised. Surely that depends on what part of the occasion was being shown? I know that the cameras weren't in Westminster Abbey for George VI's actual coronation in 1937, but the journey to/from the abbey in the state coach was shown on the BBC television service, which started in 1936. Malformated backformation
[edit]The word "coronated" on the reference to HM Queen Elizabeth II should be "crowned"; the former is a non-existent back-formation.
