[edit]Note: At the time Bloodscream was introduced, all vampires in the Marvel Universe had been destroyed by the spell called the Montesi Formula (see Darkhold) which also prevented any more vampires from being created. It is possible that Bloodscream was intended originally to be a true vampire, but had to be redefined as a result. Similarly, a group of psychic vampires called "The Ravens" that encountered the original X-Factor might have been intended to be real vampires at first. In any case, the spell has now been removed (thought the original vampires killed by it are still dead, unless revived independently, as was the case with Dracula.)
