Wikipedia talk:Dealing with disruptive or antisocial editors/simplified draft
Appearance
I've tried to find actual policies to fill in the gaps, and was only somewhat successful:
Examples of behavior which violates policies and/or guidelines
[edit]- violation of collaborative editing process intended to produce a neutral point of view, defined as engaging in multiple (more than three per 24 hour period) reversions or insertion of essentially the same text.
- personal attacks (Wikipedia:No personal attacks)
- deceptive editing of other editors' signed posts on talk pages (Wikipedia:Vandalism)
- vandalism that is not severe enough to warrant immediate blocking under the existing policy (Wikipedia:Vandalism)
- placement of factual inaccuracies in articles that is not considered sneaky vandalism (Wikipedia:Neutral point of view)
- misleading edit summaries (Wikipedia:Edit summary and Wikipedia:Revert, could use clarification)
- misrepresenting the truth (???)
- making an excessive number of frivolous complaints (Wikipedia:Don't disrupt Wikipedia to illustrate a point, could use clarifiaction)
- unreasonably threatening to take legal action (Wikipedia:No legal threats)
- posting copyright violations (Wikipedia:Copyrights)
- inappropriately removing listings from pages such as Wikipedia:Votes for deletion, Wikipedia:Featured article candidates (from policies on the pages themselves)
I also came up with a problem. It seems that "guidelines" are not always things we should be following. (see Wikipedia:Edit summary)
I just got a Formal warning. Why?
[edit]So I made my first draft, It was denied, The administrators put it up for speedy deletion, They gave me a Formal warning. But why? See it here --Anotaomo (talk) 10:04, 6 November 2023 (UTC)
- @Anotaomo You are welcome to question my warning to you on your own talk page. There, you can explain your reasons for being here on Wikipedia and indicate your editing intentions for the future, or seek clarification of any point in that warning.
- There is, however, absolutely no point in creating and posting to a talk page of a sub-page of a ten-year old failed proposal page and expecting anyone else to provide you with answers here, or using it to WP:WIKILAWYER yourself out of some sense of injustice you perceive I've caused you. (BTW: Draft:List of WikiKittens was a pointless and inappropriate draft, so another admin deleted it.) Nick Moyes (talk) 11:28, 6 November 2023 (UTC)
