Alternative hip hop?

I had edits reverted on this article and the Midnite Vultures article for failing to provide substantive evidence for there being influences of indie or alternative hip hop. I think Beck's inclusion of this style goes without saying, or much in the way of hard citation. What's the general consensus on this, especially on an album as eclectic as Mellow Gold? Several of its singles, like "Loser" and "Beercan", are noteworthy for their use of heavily hip hop-laden beats. Frevangelion (talk) 17:39, 1 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
