Image copyright problem with Image:Seafloorfeatures.JPG
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Seafloorfeatures.JPG. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images on Wikipedia is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. You can get help on image copyright tagging from Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags. -- Carnildo 08:22, 2 February 2006 (UTC)
This Spartan Life
[edit]Just a note regarding the credits section: It seems very similar to the credits section of the official site. It should probably be rewritten; some bits, such as "Mad Halo skills" should be anyway, in the interests of NPOV. If you are one of the crew of the show, take a look at the top parts of Wikipedia:Copyright problems, particularly Copyright owners who submitted their own work to Wikipedia.--Drat (Talk) 05:50, 1 March 2006 (UTC)
- Well, as the credits section is copied from the site, it is best re-written further in ones own words, or removed. If you want some good ideas to help flesh out the article, and to help defend it in the event someone puts it up for deletion, take a look at the Red vs Blue article and it's sub-articles. They have been the focus of three months of improvement by several editors, including myself. Also take a look at my suggested machinima notability guidelines, as well as the list of previous machinima-related deletion discussions.--Drat (Talk) 12:48, 5 March 2006 (UTC)
