Okay, I am not sure about some of the airlines if they are cargo, passenger, or charter. Feel free to make any corrections... - WHISPERTOME
Terminal
[edit]Curiously, why is there no gate 5? Also, last time I was there, I could not find the jetway door to Gate 8; nor is there a sign for it other than outside security indicating that you go to the right to get there...is this a future gate? Mercer5089 00:13, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
- Gate 8 was always there, it is right next to gate 7. In the 16+ years I've visited the airport, there was never a gate 5. There is a restaraunt between gates 4 and 6 (where gate 5 would most likely be), it may have been decomissioned to make room for it and kept the numbering scheme to prevent confusion. — Kjammer ⌂ 16:31, 8 July 2007 (UTC)
This whole discussion is irrelevant, because the building has been torn down. Also, the gate 8 jetway was decommissioned early to make room for the new terminal. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.112.184.148 (talk) 20:50, 18 January 2010 (UTC)
runway
[edit]looking at the pictures and inside google earth, there is no "Runway 2L/20R". i think it should be called "Runway 1L/19R" Exvil-lachwien (talk) 18:17, 25 October 2009 (UTC)
Changes in the position of magnetic north pole make it necessary to change the numbers of the runways periodically. FAI's new runway numbering scheme is 2/20. I'm not totally sure why they have not renumbered the other runways (especially 1/19 and 1W/19W, as they do not require new paint, though they may require new signage), but I would suspect that 2L/20R was renumbered because it is being completely redone and would need new paint anyway. runway numbering
[edit]Just noticed that the runway numbers in the article text seem to be off by one from the numbers in the infobox graphic. 94.6.24.111 (talk) 19:05, 25 September 2013 (UTC)
Condor flights
[edit]I can find no evidence that there are flights between here and Frankfurt, through Condor's website or otherwise. 216.137.192.89 (talk) 03:08, 9 December 2014 (UTC)
