so the redirect is therefore confusing. According to the article in the Britannica (our article is much more complete, of course! :-) "Dafla" is an alternative name for the tribe (I'm assuming it's the same tribe, it sounds like the same one), along with "Bangni". Someone should verify this, and add it to the article. Thanks! Noel (talk) 02:47, 13 Nov 2004 (UTC)

=Abraham Dolo Pabing= yes sir it refers to the same tribe but Dafla was the title entitled by the outsiders during pre-modern era which has been outed by a parliamentary act.of India and now Nyishi is herby used as the title..also bangni actually means 'Human' and doesn't refer to the tribe overall.Abraham Dolo Pabing (talk) 22:55, 8 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Nyishi

[edit]

Why is the title spelled "Nyishi" but in the article the name appears like "Nyishi" without the other one even being mentioned? --ANDROBETA 19:44, 29 September 2011 (UTC

Abraham Dolo Pabing- The title is spelled Nishi (not Nyishi) because of poor preaching in the past here. On the other hand Nishi,Nyishi,nyishing..stand for the same title but difference in pronunciation led to this error. sorry for that and thank you for raising the question and as you can see there's a lot to do on the article...so please do bear with the inconvenienceAbraham Dolo Pabing (talk) 22:28, 8 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
