KQ, Zoe
[edit]KQ, Zoe, somebody, who made this film? Morrison gets lots of ink for his broadcast, deservedly so, but what about the newsreel cameraman (cameramen)? Ortolan88 16:57 Oct 29, 2002 (UTC)
- Is this footage available? Can we link to it somewhere? The Recycling Troll 03:41, 1 Oct 2004 (UTC)
According the the aticle Hindenburg disaster, Morrison was recording for radio and not the newsreel, with the audio dubbed onto the film footage at a later date. If this is so then this article will need to be changed.
In fact, this article contains less info on the newsreel than the main article, so a merge may be in order.

Anybody know why the first flames weren't on film? Can you give me a source?
Name you a few: Hindenburg Disaster: Probable Cause, History Channel's Hindenburg documentary, and Great Mysteries of the Twentieth Century: The Hindenburg Crash Mystery. No reason has been found but I think it was because they were shocked and stopped rolling the film and that some films clearly showed the camera facing down to the ground crew and suddenly lurch up to see the Hindenburg explode. Strange!!!!!!!
[edit]Strange, the footage doesn't show the mooring mast!!!!!! I even paused the footage to about the time when one of the most famous photos were taken and the mast shouldn't be off the screen. Maybe the cameras were closer and at a slightly different angle???? It's also strange that the close-up footage and the "best"(IMO) footage are very similar that the camera did the same thing until the middle. Additionally, universal newsreel's footage looks a bit different from the one on the bottom of the article. Frankyboy5 06:26, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
Shaky Cam Footage
[edit]A shaky cam version of the footage can be seen in the documentary Hindenburg Disaster: Probable Cause (they actually got the picture mirrored!!!!!). National Geographic shows the same pictures but it was corrected. Frankyboy5 06:26, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
Incorrect video link
[edit]The fourth video link, the one to Google, is not correct. It returns a 404 error, but I'm not sure of the best way to fix it, or whether it should just be deleted. I was actually looking for the radio broadcast with "Oh, the humanity." Shanen (talk) 10:52, 22 December 2013 (UTC)
