Welcome!
[edit]Hello. I see you're new. Welcome to Wikipedia!
Here are some tips to help you get started:
- Read the Tutorial, and feel free to experiment in the Sandbox.
- Eventually, you might want to read the Manual of Style and Policies and Guidelines.
- If you need help, post a question at the Help Desk or ask me on my talk page.
- Explore, be bold in editing pages, and, most importantly, have fun!
Good luck!
–Hajor
P.S. One last helpful hint. To sign your posts like I did above (on talk pages, for example) use the '~' symbol. To insert just your name, type ~~~ (3 tildes), or, to insert your name and timestamp, use ~~~~ (4 tildes).
Speedy deletions
[edit]Please check the histories of the pages you flag for deletion. Both John Keats and Gay were both good articles that had just been blanked by vandals -- they should have been reverted, not flagged for deletion. Cheers, –Hajor 23:57, 12 May 2005 (UTC)
NPOV
[edit]Firstly, may I add a very 'personal' welcome here too(!). The best place to pose whether there might be a POV/NPOV issue on an article is to look on the talk page of that article for previous discussions on the matter. If it is something you are certain of but you don't feel bold enough to sort out on your own then put the {{POV}} tag at the top of the article and a full explanation of your reasoning on the discussion page. One thing I'd also add (having taken a look at your edits) is that you might find it helpful to use the Show preview button when editing to do checks rather than doing multiple edits on the same article straight after each other. You may also want to tell other editors a little about yourself on your User page which lets others know about your experience and fields of interest / activity. You'll usually find the details about others by clicking on their usernames ... --Vamp:Willow 11:08, 19 May 2005 (UTC)
