On page Wikipedia_talk:Community_Portal#Help? you say you want to put something like an apple pie recipe on wikipedia.
Go for it. Be bold. However, if it is a food recipe, helpful wikipedians will quickly move it to one of the cookbook wiki http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Cookbook:Apple_pie . So you might consider putting it there to begin with.
