Signing
[edit]Five Iron signed to 5 Minute Walk in 1996, not 1995.
- First discussion - See the message from Scott dated Thurs, Jun 20 1996. Kerr indicates that they have several offers at this point. Also note that he mentions a recording session. This became It's Funny but Not Very Creative, which was independantly released.
- And the follow up here - also Scott Kerr, dated as Mon, Aug 12 1996. Now he indicates that they are signed with 5MW.

[edit]"Leanor Till" automatically redirects to this same page. Should I (we/you) redirect it, create her page, or cut the link? Scoutersig 18:59, 1 May 2006 (UTC)
Her article was deleted at some point in the past, see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Leanor Till. We probably should cut the links to the members who don't already have articles. Dan, the CowMan 19:24, 1 May 2006 (UTC)
Micah's Wiki page mentions his work with Soul Junk. Should we add that to related projects? K1posterchild (talk) 16:07, 2 April 2008 (UTC)
Frenzyboard
[edit]This section probably has no place in the article at all, but I'll leave it to someone with more experience to decide how to handle it. I'm POV-tagging it for now... -- Fru1tbat 03:07, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
- I don't think it belongs here either, considering how it calls the people who post there arrogant, ignorant, and stupid. It also isn't a very important aspect of the band. Joizashmo 04:31, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
- It appears the editor responsible has vandalized FIF-related articles in the past. What's the best course here? -- Fru1tbat 20:40, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
- I say we remove it outright. I doesn't need to be here. Joizashmo 21:32, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

I think there should be something, whether in this article or in a seperate one, about the Frenzyboard. It is a major aspect of the band, and former members of FIF still visit the board occassionally. In addition, that the board has lasted almost three years beyond the life of the band is a testament to its longevity. I'm not sure what could be said, but I think it's at least worth mentioning.
- An external link to the frenzyboard identifying it as the official message board ought to be adequate. Frankly I don't think any band's message board is a "major aspect of the band", especially if those band members function in the community as occasional celebrity visitors, as they do here. Too much info on the touring
[edit]The touring information of all shows is not needed in the article. I request that it be deleted.

Yeah, it looks like a mess and is not needed. 66.230.81.236 (talk) 09:55, 22 August 2008 (UTC)
CItation Needed
[edit]There is a citation needed to debunk the rumor of reunion. I found the link but I am not very familiar with editing wikipedia, so anyone who wants to add the citation just check her personal myspace. http://www.myspace.com/leanor —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.188.76.137 (talk) 22:11, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
Genres
[edit]I think the genres section is sloppy. I've tried twice to change it to just christian punk and ska punk twice, only to have it reverted to Ska, third-wave ska, ska punk, ska-core. Ska punk and ska-core are one article, there's no need to give two separate links to them. The ska article is mainly about traditional ska, which Five Iron Frenzy did not play. The third wave ska article mainly descibes a time period, as the third wave bands either played traditional ska or ska punk, not some other sub-genre of ska. It's much simpler and accurate just to put down ska punk, and I also don't see why christian punk shoudn't be included in the genres. The article makes it quite clear they were a Christian punk band and no one seems to have an issue with that. Ash Loomis (talk) 04:43, 27 July 2008 (UTC)
Concert?
[edit]Their myspace page [1] lists a concert this december at the Colfax centre. Is this legit? Are they back together? I'm not a follower of this band at all, I just stumbled upon them and are reading up on them. The Wikipedia article indicates that they haven't done anything as a band since 2003. --Kwake20 (talk) 16:57, 15 December 2008 (UTC)
New source material?

I'd like to make a page
[edit]With permission and guidance, i'd like to make the page for Until This Shakes Apart since it's the only album of theirs without a page. Is that fine? Babysharkboss2 (talk) 16:11, 12 September 2023 (UTC)
