This should surely be a disambiguation page. Rich Farmbrough 16:00, 1 Jul 2004 (UTC)

  • Well for the time being I have merged the content with Tudor dynasty and redirected there because everything I wanted to say to expand this stub had been said already in the other article. You are welcome to disambiguate from here if you wish. -- Graham ☺ | Talk 14:09, 3 Jul 2004 (UTC)

Does anyone know if the occurence of the surname in Romania is a co-incidence, or whether there's some link? Hughcharlesparker 21:35, August 17, 2005 (UTC)

No direct link, but 'Tudor' is a christian name in both Wales and Romania (originally spelt 'Tewdr' in Wales before the spelling was Anglicised to 'Tudor'). It evolved independantly in each country as an equivalent of 'Theodor'. Due to evolving Welsh naming conventions in the middle ages (that a son of a man called Tudor might be referred to as '(forename) ap Tudor' i.e '(forename), son of Tudor' and this being misundersood by the English as a surname) it migrated over in Wales to become a surname. Hence the Tudor dynasty.Indisciplined (talk) 19:12, 9 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Tudor (watch) Reference

[edit]

Hello, i would like to bring your attention on the link : Tudor (watch), a brand of Rolex watches. Indeed, there is now a fully dedicated wikipedia page for Tudor Watches. For this reason, I would like to know if it is possible to make the update so the link redirects to the Tudor Page and not the Rolex Page.

I haven't heard from you since, I made a small modification so the link of the Tudor Watches redirects to the dedicated wikipedia page rather than the Rolex page. Please let me know if this is okay for you.
