Cover dates

[edit]

This may be too trivial to put in the article, but I will note here that currently, the date shown on the cover of each issue is a Monday, whereas it used to be Saturday. This change happened when the issue dated June 23, 1973, was followed by one dated July 2. I don't know the reason for the change. Richard K. Carson (talk) 23:16, 26 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Fact Checking Quote

[edit]

Under the Fact Checking section, the line:

>In 2019, the Columbia Journalism Review said that "no publication has been more consistently identified with its rigorous fact-checking".

seems to imply that this is some kind of ranking awarded in 2019. The context of the cited article however reflects the reputation of the New Yorker over it's entire lifetime. Perhaps this could be reworded to better reflect the statement in the original article. 24.148.35.9 (talk) 22:45, 8 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
